PONY TUG for holidays - Small trekking tour (6-7 min) for children (from 2+) - DKK50

*On every other day, during the school year holidays, we offer pony rides for children, which consist of a shorter (6-7 minute) guided pulling trip where you pull the child yourself. This little cozy horse experience is of course guided and there is good instruction. *

*Pony club is a 45 minute grooming and pulling experience, which starts with a little introduction to horses in general and how to socialize with them. * *The children, each of whom must have a brought adult on the sidelines, are allowed to groom and then get in the saddle. Next, you take your child on a cozy trekking trip to the forest and beach, which lasts a total of 30 minutes, and where a guide is with you throughout the trip. You pull the baby yourself, following the instructions herein. * *An educational experience for young and old alike. *

This walk takes place in stride, trot and thicket, in sheltered surroundings with no open expanses. We ride on winding forest trails and along beach and fjord and the walks are never the same. As a participant on this tour, you must at least be easily trained, and be able to get up safely in light riding, have a good command of steering and stopping the horse, as well as holding the reins correctly. In this way, we want to make sure that the horses have a comfortable ride, where they are not exposed to jerks and bumps.

*The tour is a 4 hour long walk in all gaits, in a completely unique terrain. * *As well as going to woodland and beach, rides also to open areas (heath and beach meadows), with chance to experience sea eagles, Feddet's wild Exmoor ponies as well as Galloway cattle. * *You must be adult and practiced or very practiced according to our experience levels, and in good riding shape to participate. * *Bring a completely lightweight back bag with your own food and drink. * *Please be aware that heat wave, deep sand, mud, or ice-slippery trails, may make it necessary to slow down for the sake of the horses. On very hot days, we have to ride into the water with the horses in the last part of the trip. It may be a good idea to wear clothes that can withstand a little water, up to the middle of the thigh. *

Riding camp week 27 (for 8-16 year olds, lightly trained and practiced) - DKK3500

Create childhood memories with nature and horses Every year during week 27, the year's riding camp for the children of the stable runs. It is for children aged 8-16 who love horses and horseback riding, want to learn more about riding and socializing with them, and also want to be part of a community with other “horseshoes”. You should like to ride in nature, because we do not have tracks and riding houses. On the other hand, we have a very special and beautiful nature with forest, beach and heath, which are only found in a few places on Zealand. At riding camp with us you get your very own Icelandic horse to look after, care for and ride for a whole week. The week is organized as a day riding camp, filled with fun horse activities, and every single day we ride beautiful walks to the forest and beach. This is a great way to start your summer vacation. A little bit about what you can you expect Our riding camp is for children aged 8-16 who can ride confidently and independently in stride and trot and who appreciate good companionship with other horse enthusiasts. Our horses are very stable and calm and we make a lot out of finding a good match for each child. In addition, we value good mood very highly, and are bully-free zone. By this we mean zero tolerance to bullying in the form of first a warning, then repatriation. It is quite normal to be a little nervous when going to riding camp and not knowing the horse or the other children. We take care of this, do a lot to shake the group together, and you quickly become comfortable when you realize how cute the horses are and that we back each other up. The Course of the Week You're not going to be bored Monday we're going to be shaken together and you've got to have assigned the Icelander you're going to ride all week. We have to play, puzzle and groom, fix equipment, put it on properly, guide the horse correctly, and of course go on a nice long horseback ride to the forest and beach. On Tuesday we are going to learn about gait, and practice this on horseback rides in the morning and afternoon. If you collect the horse, you will quickly fall in love with the harness, which is the special gait that the Icelandic horses master. Wednesday is beach day (subject to weather conditions). We ride to the beach (without saddle if you dare) and go paddling and bathing with the horses in the shallow water. Over dinner, it has fun horse games, including horse stables and a horse ride to finish off on. Thursday is the sign of the long walk, and the trip goes all the way around. Here, everyone has to bring food and drink in a light hiking backpack, as we pause midway, where the sweaty horses can graze and rest. Friday ends the week in grand fashion with a dress up day for horses and riders, where you and your horse will not get to know each other. We make costumes for the theme of The Hobbit, paint on/and or braid ourselves and the horses, and ride for walks as in a fairy tale.
